Usain “Lightning” Bolt won his 100 meter heat easily today. I’ve been impressed with this guy ever since I saw him finish second to Tyson Gay in the World Championships last year. I think the world record is going to fall on Saturday.

Great Olympics so far
I’ve been spending an enormous amount of time watching the Olympics and neglecting the running. I finally got to run today. I rationalize this behavior by saying that it’s only once every four years so I can miss a few days of running.
It’s been a great Olympics so far. I can’t wait until track and field starts tomorrow. The women’s marathon is coming in a few days. This event will be an awesome spectacle.
