After the long work day/night yesterday, I thought I would pull out of the Cap City 10 miler in New Albany Ohio. With less than 6 hours of sleep, I struggled to get out of bed. I started the race with a 50:56 split for the first five miles. However, around mile 6, the lack of sleep this entire week started to bother me. I was yawning and a bit sluggish. I ran the last 5 miles at 54:36 for a complete time of 1:45:32.
The course was unique. The country club crowd let us into their perfectly manicured little enclave to view the various McMansions. As expected in conformist Ohio, all the houses were in the typical Georgian / neoclassial style. My old house in Texas was of the same all-brick Georgian type architecture. However, I prefer my current French country stone & stucco house. The high school where the race ended and finished looked like a mixture of the University of Virginia and some tony equestrian club.

In the future, I would like a Tudor revival style house
Hey workaholicrunner, you made it through and congratulations. Very unique architechture, something we don’t see much in SF. Take care and please get some rest!

sfrunner,
Amen to that. I need some rest. I’m planning on a 14 mile slow run tomorrow.

Workaholic, whatever your performance, you’re 1 step closer to SF Runner’s 900+ races completed.
I personally love the Victorian houses of San Francisco.

Yes, DATC – one step closer. I’m actually planning to tun a 5K next week because it is to be held at a botanical garden.
